Engineering for
the unexplored.
I’m Kulvir Chavda, a robotics master’s student at Carnegie Mellon. I work on field robotics and autonomous systems, with a background in aerospace engineering, flight testing, and mechanical design.
Currently researching field robotics with Prof. Matt Travers.

A little about me
A bit about me.
I studied aerospace engineering at Illinois before moving to Pittsburgh for CMU’s robotics master’s. My projects have ranged from a rocket built in an optional class to aircraft components designed during a summer internship.
Outside my research, I’ve led student project teams at MAero, taught rocketry workshops, and earned my private pilot license to fly planes. I’m also interested in the challenge of turning an engineering idea into a company.
